The Church of Christ was founded by Jesus Christ, who promised to build His church and He purchased it with His blood (Matthew 16:18; Acts 20:28). We wear the name of Christ because it is Biblical and it displays ownership (Romans 16:16). We believe in the authority of Scripture, as it is inspired by God, and it provides the Christian with the tools needed to be successful (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Since we believe that we are ultimately governed by God, the church must have Biblical clearance from God in matters such as: worship, benevolence, and ministry (1 Peter 4:11). The Church of Christ prides itself on speaking where the Bible speaks, but remaining silent where it is silent. Our preaching and teaching is consistent with that of the first century church, as they sought to expand the borders of God’s Kingdom (Acts 2:42-47). Upon your visit with the Church of Christ at Franklin Road, you are guaranteed to find a group of God’s people who love Him and welcome everyone with open arms. We look forward to meeting you face to face.

Plan of Salvation
Paul in Romans 3:23 says that all have men have sinned and fallen short of God’s standard. Jesus Himself mentioned the importance of not dying in that sin, because it prohibits one from joining Him in heaven (John 8:21). Paul in Romans 1:16-17, states that the Gospel contains the power to save and he defines the Gospel in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. The Gospel in summary is the truthfulness that Jesus died, was buried, and rose again to make atonement for sin. Paul would also mention in 2 Thessalonians 1:8 that it is necessary to obey the Gospel because the alternative is suffering the vengeance of God. Man is offered an opportunity to receive salvation as Paul says “the grace” has appeared to all men in Titus 2:11; However, God gives us free-will to determine if we want to be saved. In order to be saved and added to the Lord’s church as the Bible suggests in Acts 2:47, one must do the following:
STEPS SCRIPTURES
HEAR ROMANS 10:14-17
BELIEVE JOHN 3:14-17
REPENT LUKE 13:3-5
CONFESS MATTHEW 10:32-33
BAPTISM ACTS 2:37-38
